Birth of Azurite Medical
Steven E. Irving, owner of Azurite Medical, noticed that most doctors’ offices either did not perform drug and alcohol testing or they had a staff that was improperly trained to do so. Being DOT certified, he recognized the huge problem that existed with substituted samples or nursing staff procedures being unable to stand up in a court of law.
He also learned that many companies need after-hours testing and on-site testing. Often there is no testing facility available after 5pm and many businesses simply cannot afford the loss of production to send an employee to a doctor’s office for 3 or more hours.
Steven developed the idea for Azurite Medical around the idea of making drug-free workplaces practical, easy, convenient and affordable for business owners. Steven believes in providing a high quality of service therefore he employs certified collectors and breath alcohol technicians.
After a year in the making, Azurite Medical was officially launched on March 9, 2012 as a registered Dallas County Texas business.

We want to offer you the best and most qualified testing experience, which is why we have Department of Transportation (DOT) certified collectors on call. Any non-DOT collections will be conducted using DOT protocol. We believe it is of the utmost importance that we handle your testing needs with professionalism, accuracy and discretion for both you and the employee.
Primarily we utilize Quest Diagnostics for testing. Other labs will be considered if the client has an existing account and the lab is a reputable facility.
